An Addendum to Black Friday: Planning What to Do With Your Old Electronics

Black Friday is this Friday, November 29, 2013. With the launch of two new gaming consoles, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, lines will surely go on for blocks as people queue up to get the best deal for the consoles and other goods. Now’s a good time to Plan What to Do With Your Old Electronics.

If you’re having trouble visualizing what a Plan What to Do With Your Old Electronics session looks like, it could go something like this:

You’re sitting around the table enjoying your holiday meal. Little Timmy brings up the latest console, saying “I want a new PS4!”

You: “Why?”

Timmy: “It’s NeeEEEwwWW!”

You: “What’s wrong with your PS3?”

Timmy: “Nothing.”

You: “Does it still play games?”

Timmy: “Yes.”

You: “Well, no need for a new console then.”

Planning=accomplished.

If the conversation does go in the direction of purchasing new electronics, or doesn’t get raised at all, the PWDWYOE could be formatted easily by following this flowchart:
